Current courses

Teaching in soil protection is allocated primarily in the bachelor course of the environmental sciences curriculum. Before the introduction of the bachelor/master system, teaching was primarily in the curriculum of environmental engineering. Teaching includes an “integrated excursion” (“Integrierte Exkursionen”) in the 2nd semester, a third of the field practical in soil (“Integriertes Praktikum Boden”) in the 4th semester, a part of the terrestrial systems practical (“Terrestrisches Systempraktikum”) in the 6th semester, participation in a 1-week block field course in applied soil science (“Angewandte Bodenkunde”) in the 8th semester, a 2-hour course in soil protection (“Bodenschutz und Landnutzung”) and a 2-hour e-learning course in applied soil ecology in the 6th semester, as well as participation in the bachelor seminar in terrestrial systems (5th semester). In addition, Erwin Hepperle gives an elective course on Law and Natural Resources (“Rechtlicher Umgang mit natürlichen Ressourcen”) for 3rd year bachelor students.

Bachelor and Master students have the possibility to contribute to any of our research projects for a semester work or a diploma work. For more information refer to our Research page, or contact Rainer Schulin.
