Current courses

The research of the Soil Protection group is focussing on (1) effects of soil degradation and pollution on soil quality, in particular on soil-plant interactions under conditions of trace element disorders, (2) risks of soil contaminant leaching and transfer into food chains, (3) treatment and management of polluted soils, in particular by means of plants (phytoremediation and phytomanagement), and (4) recently also on micro-nutrient biofortification of food crops by means of soil cultivation methods.
